1. THE DEADLINE TO PRE-REGISTER FOR POLARIS 22 IS JUST DAYS AWAY!
The deadline to take advantage of our low "pre-registration" pricing on
TCON memberships is just days away - Monday, June the 2nd! After that
date, we'll no longer be able to accept requests for memberships by postal
mail.
However, we're pleased to announce that this year, we're keeping our
Paypal system online past the deadline, and that for a limited time only,
you can still purchase your membership online at the discounted rates.
Hurry though! This extension could end at any time after June 2nd!
Note that you will, of course, still have the option of buying your
membership in person at Polaris 22 for our higher "at-the-door" rates. But
why not save yourself some money? Get your membership today!

2. IMPORTANT AUTOGRAPHS INFO
Please note that Polaris has been informed that Terry Farrell, Rachel
Luttrell, and Jason Dohring will NOT be bringing photos with them for sale
during our autograph sessions. We are making every effort to ensure that
a dealer has their photographs for sale, but we encourage fans to bring
posters, dvd sets, and any other memorabilia they would like to get signed
by these two actors. Polaris will keep you informed regarding other actors
and their picture availability.

3. BLASTOFF PARTY ACCESS STILL AVAILABLE - BUT HURRY!

4. POLARIS STILL NEEDS A FEW GOOD PANELISTS
If you are considering being a panelist at Polaris 22, please remember
that the deadline is coming near. Panelists must pre-register by June 2,
2008. You use the normal pre-registration form and check off the "I am
submitting my name to be a panelist for Polaris" that is under step 4 for
online registration.
We have panels on a variety of topics, and new content is still being
added. You can view the current list of panels at

without panelists, so the best way to make sure your interests are
represented is to sign up for the panels in that area.
Panels are starting to fill up so the best way to make sure you get the
panels you want, and your panelist discount, is to sign up today.

5. PANELIST PUBNIGHT - SATURDAY JUNE 14TH
We will be hosting another panelist pub night on Saturday June 14. It will
start at 7:30 and take place at the Foxes Den in Toronto, 1075 Bay Street.
The pub night gives panelists a chance to meet their co-panelists and to
preview the schedule. We hope to see you there!

1. NEW ACTOR GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT: TERRY FARRELL
("STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE")
Polaris 22 is pleased to announce that Terry Farrell has accepted our
invitation to be one of our Actor Guests this year (BLASTOFF AND SATURDAY
ONLY).
After eighteen months of modeling, Terry made the move to acting in the
mid-1980s, and she appeared in a number of guest-starring roles in series
such as "Quantum Leap" and "The Cosby Show". In 1992, she played "Cat" in
the second pilot for a U.S. version of "Red Dwarf", which was not picked
up. A year later, she was offered a lead role in "Star Trek: Deep Space
Nine". She starred as Jadzia Dax, Deep Space Nine's Starfleet science
officer; a character who is host to a 300-year-old symbiont and can draw
upon the memories and knowledge of the symbiont's six previous hosts. She
left the show at the end of the sixth season, and went on to star in the
comedy series "Becker". Terry does not appear at many conventions, so we
are very pleased that she has accepted our invitiation this year!
Terry will be attending the Blastoff Party, signing autographs, appearing
onstage, and participating in our photo sessions.

Polaris 22 is pleased to announce that Gareth David-Lloyd and Cliff Simon
have accepted our invitations to be Actor Guests this year.
As a teenager, Gareth David-Lloyd joined the Gwent Young People's Theatre
in Abergavenny, where he appeared in several plays including Macbeth, The
Threepenny Opera and Henry V, in which he played the title role. He went
on to train at the National Youth Theatre, before moving to Reading to
pursue his acting career with The Rep College. Gareth returned to Wales
for the filming of his first regular television role in Torchwood. We're
excited to note that Polaris will be Gareth's very first North American
appearance ever!
Cliff Simon has performed all over the world in various stage productions
as a dancer/acrobat, culminating in his dream role as a performer at the
world famous Moulin Rouge, Paris, in 1989. Arriving in the US from his
native South Africa in 2000, Cliff soon landed a guest starring role with
Don Johnson on the hit TV series, Nash Bridges. A short time after that,
he acquired the guest star role of Ba'al on Stargate SG-1. Cliff was
brought back to play Ba'al in the Stargate SG-1 movie "Continuum", which
will be released in this year.
Both Gareth and Cliff will be attending the Blastoff Party, signing
autographs, appearing onstage, and participating in our photo sessions.

3. WE'RE LOOKING FOR: DVDS OR VIDEOS OF CANADIAN MASQUERADES
The Polaris masquerade directors are looking for DVD or Video copies of
Canadian Masquerades. We want to build up our archive of Masquerade
footage from Polaris and all other Canadian conventions, as a resource to
use in our costume panels and displays. Furthermore, the International
Costumers Guild has established an archive for Masquerades, and we want to
ensure that the history of Canadian Masquerades is included in that
archive.
Anyone wishing to contribute a copy of their Canadian Masquerade footage
for either or both of these purposes, please contact Martin Miller at
